So far, three large petitions have been submitted to Hillingdon Council regarding these proposals.
The first, from Ruislip Lido Residents Group: "Hillingdon Council is planning a major development of Ruislip Lido. We, the undersigned, believe that these plans will be detrimental to the Lido, adversely affect wildlife and cause further problems for the local residents and regular visitors. We also believe that there has been insufficient public consultation and that no further actions should be made on the part of Hillingdon Council until a thorough survey of public opinion has taken place."
The second, submitted by June Talbot, focused on concerns about the effect these proposals would have on the flourishing wildlife at the Lido.
These three petitions numbered well over 2000 signatures.
The first two petition hearings have already taken place, and LBH appears to have ignored all the concerns raised.
The third petition, and two smaller ones, have been submitted specifically against the proposed car park planning application. They will be heard at the planning committee meeting at a later date. For more information on the car park, please click on the link below.
